There are some people you could never picture in ugg-boots or yoga-pants. They are elegance personified. Lucinda and Jackson are those people!
Firstly, they met in the city of love – Paris. From their fanciful French meeting, Jackson upped stumps and moved his life from Brisbane to Perth to be with Lucinda. And “… a few years later on holiday in Broome, he proposed,” said Lucy. You couldn’t write a more classic tale of swoon-worthy loveliness if you tried.
Fast forward to their big day: a refined church wedding followed by a riverside reception. A dashing groom and dishy groomsmen, perfectly powdery ‘something blue’ bridesmaids and Lucinda in an elegant custom gown, topped with a vintage veil. “On the wedding day, I wore my mother’s veil which was very special,” said Lucy. Sophisticated white blooms with textured greenery and the most delicious-looking naked layer cake you ever did see – also made by Lucinda’s mother.
Their wedding song was John Mayer’s ‘Who You Love’, about which Lucinda said “It perfectly describes our relationship in that you can’t choose when or where you meet the one you love, but you know when you do!”.
We’re so thankful they found one another and are lucky to share the images from Lucinda and Jackson’s day, thanks to another wonderful find of theirs – photographer Angela Higgins (also an elegant soul!).
