Kat and Courtney are joy on a stick. We know. We know. Every wedding is joyful, but trust us – take a quick peek at the film below (by the clever folks at The Wedding Video Masters) and see if you don’t agree?! An abundance of joy! And smiling and hugs and kisses and tears and flowers and food and sharing and love. Kat was a gal who made sure she had three pairs of shoes for her big day – heels, platforms and flats – so you just know that unbridled happy dancing took place.

Generosity of spirit was also present in what Kat and Courtney called their ‘bridal crew’. They had a total of seventeen bridesmaids and groomsmen, which Kat said “…was AMAZING and completely crazy, teehee! Everyone was involved, which made it SO special.” Another member of their unconventional wedding party? Kat and Courtney’s dog Maddie. “During the ceremony, all our dog wanted was to come up and be with us. So during Courtney’s vows, that’s just what she did!”

These two are all-embracing people-people. Courtney is a primary school teacher and Kat works in social impact. They met eight years ago at a local cafe where “…we got talking across tables and the rest (as they say) is history,” said Kat. “We really wanted our wedding day to be a reflection of us as a couple, which meant a relaxed, backyard celebration down south. The day was so wonderfully personal.” Even their first dance together wasn’t solely about the two of them. Choosing the drum and bass track One by Shapeshifter ensured that “It definitely got the dance floor started too!” said Kat.
