Planning a shindig in a remote mid west community can be tricky – the local high street of pledge and party people to work with is not densely populated. But we imagine sharing your big love under the big sky of a breathtaking environment like Exmouth more than makes up for it. Take a peek at Courtney Holloway Photography’s images of Stephanie and Ryan’s big day and see if you agree?
Despite first introducing himself to the wrong girl, Ryan met Stephanie on a blind date, which they say worked out wonderfully. Stephanie said, “I met him when I was 18 and he’s the only boyfriend I’ve ever had! I couldn’t imagine my life without him.” It wasn’t long before he proposed to the right girl at sunset on a Kalbarri beach and they chose to be wed in Exmouth. “Our favourite location, one in which we’ve shared our happiest moments.”
In planning the wedding, Stephanie used Etsy and other online stores to best advantage, but was more excited to uncover local suppliers such as Ningaloo Cakes. “It tasted so amazing that our guests confessed to stealing other guest’s servings! On more than one occasion!” And when the florist phoned a few days before the wedding to say that many of Stephanie’s David Austin roses had perished during delivery, she was delighted that Meike’s Flowers saved the day by incorporating lilac-coloured local flora into the bouquets. “It was so beautiful… and we loved that we were able to make use of what Exmouth has to offer.”
Stephanie said, “We never wanted the big traditional wedding,” adding that Exmouth was “… the beautifully serene location we were fortunate enough to celebrate in”. We can’t help but agree. A secluded seaside ceremony, sweeping scenes of grandeur, twinkle lights and twinkly-eyed gals, bare-footed boys with beers in their hands – you’re going to love this look at love up north!
