Perfect weather and paper pinwheels. Plaits and pincurls. Big checks and little Lego-men. Foam fingers and balloon animals. What kind of wonderful is this, Purdie and Antony?!
Purdie described the day as “Perfect in every sense, it was everything we dreamed of and totally us.” Oh, how we love the TOTALLY US weddings! We love the paper pinwheels Purdie’s Mum must have spent eleventy-gazillion years making to be held aloft by guests during the “I do-s”.
We love Purdie’s ‘something old’, gifted to her the week of the wedding by her aunt. It was her beloved Granny’s engagement ring, which she wore that day and every day since. Antony’s Granny provided the ‘something borrowed’ with a vintage Glomesh evening purse. We’re also smitten by the personalised Lego-man buttonholes of the groom and groomsmen – each designed to reflect their professions. Geologist Antony’s came complete with pickaxe and hard hat!
We thank Purdie and Antony for sharing their one-of-a-kind day with us. And their clever shutterbug Janine Kaye Photography. We are now also convinced that EVERY sassy shindig would benefit by balloon animal artistry by Aaron Smyth. Wouldn’t you agree?!
