Be still our beating hearts! We’d happily be castaways if promised a secluded sanctuary of love that looks just one grain of sand as glorious as this seaside styleshoot. We’re delighted to share with you the work of a clever local trio: Peggy Saas of Peggy Saas Photography, Anna Rohan of Botanica Naturalis and Alison Henley of The Vintage Table.

Inspired by the words of a Byron poem handwritten on the wedding veil, the styleshoot was nicknamed ‘She Walks in Beauty’. This gorgeous young couple did indeed attract attention; as Peggy described, “…the bride and groom strolled on the sand to the sound of cello played by Laura McGrogan of Les Trois Amies which drew a little crowd — hearing her play on a winter’s afternoon as people walked their local beach.”

Peggy also described the inspiration for the table setting as “the beauty of an Australian winter beach… Anna styled the shoot with a palette of blues and greys drawn from the sky and water, and the soft greens and blush of the local surrounding foliage contrasting with a bright pop of floral colours amid delightfully delicate vintage milk glass and silverware… Details were planned over weeks and we prayed for a romantically gloomy day, and the weather gods delivered!” 

We’re mighty glad they did. Two lovers. One bearded. One barefoot. Both beautiful beachy souls.
