Janke and Mitchell’s wedding was about all two people in love, lovely friends and the loving support of their families. So much love. Big love.
Janke’s gown was custom designed by a friend, her mum did her make-up and a family friend French-braided her hair. Family friends designed the stationery, prepared the native blooms for the bridal party and venues, and supplied the day’s wedding transport. Mitchell’s friend and Janke’s brother sang a slowed-down acoustic version of Chris Brown’s Forever, following Janke’s walk down the aisle to Sigur Ros’ Hoppipolla – a favourite from when the couple first started dating.
The only deviation from their day of togetherness was when guests were invited to sample either his favourite (Red Bull & vodka) or her favourite (Pimms) at their Moore & Moore cocktail reception in Fremantle. We’d like to think folks chose to indulge in a little of both!
The abundance of love was also reflected in an abundance of cake. “We had a buffet of ten of our favourites from different local bakeries!” Janke explained. And “Instead of a guest book, we invited guests to take Polaroids and write a quick hello on them. They now hang proudly in our home in big frames, as a memory of our special day and everyone we love.”
We love that Janke and Mitchell shared their day and their images by iZO Photography with us. What do you think?
