Colour and comics and cutting a rug to some classic ska tunes. Even though they may look like the romantic leads from a classic black and white Hollywood film, rest assured that Erin and Gareth’s big day was a celebration of a colourful life together!
Lovers of old movies and vintage Hollywood glamour, the couple made merry and married in indisputable style – with a myriad of special touches unique to them. A groom and his love of comic books cannot be separated; so they were woven into the entire wedding, popping up in the pinwheels in their spectacular ceremony backdrop, ceremony booklets and reception table signs. And the bride may have easily been mistaken for an elegant siren of the screen – with her impeccable do, flirty frock, 40s-style cape and show-stopping ‘something blue’ heels. Even their wedding cake was rainbow-coloured and served personally to the guests by the couple.
Any words of advice from the bride? “Start with the things you really want, and go from there,” Erin laughs, “it’s not a wedding by democracy!” We love colourful one-of-a-kind people (or should that be two-of-a-kind people?!) like these kids, and we thank them and their photographer Ilkka K for sharing and brightening our day.

Absolutely LOVE the comics, what an awesome touch. It’s nice to see something to represent the groom for once.
